don't tell Erin....:/

I had a wonderful day!! I took a little journey down to Red Wing to check things out. I hiked around Barn Bluff which is a great sport climbing spot, but not right now because it is covered in snow. There were amazing antique shops and thrift shops in Red Wing, what a blast.

This is a promotional casserole set released in 1966, Erin and I have been drooling over for quite some time. We never seem to see it. Today was a lucky day!!!!

Try Walleye: Check

A couple years ago Erin and I were listening to The Splendid Table on NPR and they were talking about a restaurant in downtown Minneapolis that makes their own peanut butter among other things.  The name of the restaurant is Hell's Kitchen.  It sounded like a fabulous place with all sorts of fun things on the menu.  So when when Erin and I moved me out here to Minnesota we went there for breakfast one day.  It was wonderful.  Today as I was thinking about my list, I remembered seeing a Walleye BLT on the menu at Hell's Kitchen and knew what must be done.  So I took a little field trip to down to Minneapolis and had a Walleye BLT with Sweet Potato Fries!!!!! mmmmmmmmm, it was good.

Oops, I may have found a new hobby.

WHITEWATER KAYAKING!!!!!!!

You may be saying "that doesn't look like whitewater," and you'd be right.  Safety first though, I am at a roll session at a local community pool.  I'm happy to say I was rolling by the end of the first session.  I'm pretty stoked about it.  Thanks Nora and Bryan!!!!  Can't wait to get back in the pool.

Other exciting news...I have signed up with some of the people I met at the kayak roll session to do a Polar Bear Plunge!!!  This is a fundraiser and the proceeds benefit the Special Olympics.  If you would like to help me along with a few dollars click here!!!  My goal is $75 total, I am about 1/3 of the way there at this point!!!!
